“Te voy a querer” is the most recent album by the dutch trumpeteer Maite Hontelé. It’s a journey of lain feelings that travel from merengue with Juan Luis Guerra’s percussion as guests, cuban Son mixed with Pacific Colombian music by Herencia de Timbiquí in “Nochecita” and of course the great ‘salsa brava’ from the New York 70’s.
Juancho Valencia, Grammy nominee with Choquibtown and Latin Grammy nominee with Hontelé’s previous album “Déjame así”, produced this new album and composed the majority of its tracks.
This album is full of surprises, counting on guest artists that give it a special sound and enlarge the already known virtuous sound of Honteleé. The Cuban singer and bass player Alaín Pérez (musical director of Celia Cruz and Isaac Delgado) composed and produced for the album the track “Camínalo” in which Diego Gale participated on the conga.
There’s so much to be seen and heard at this launching! Enjoy !
