Medellin Living March Meetup in Sabaneta

Join myself (Jeff) and other Medellin Living readers and friends for pizza and drinks at Pizza en Leña at Parque Sabaneta at 7pm, Thursday, March 23 in Sabaneta.

This month’s meetup will be at the popular Pizza en Leña pizzeria located right next to Parque Sabaneta in Sabaneta. Pizza en Leña is a pizzeria owned by a Dutch guy that specializes in thin-crust pizza. The pizza is cooked in a brick oven and it’s arguably the best thin-crust pizza to be found in Medellín.

For those that want to stick around later we plan to have drinks afterwards at a bar right next to Parque Sabaneta.

This is also a good opportunity to experience Parque Sabaneta, which many consider to be the best park in the Medellín metro area. It’s a nice one square block-sized plaza filled with trees and surrounded by shops, stalls, bars, restaurants and a church.

If you’re new to the city, this Medellín Living Meetup is a great chance to ask questions, share observations, and meet other travelers as well as several expats living in the city.

Please RSVP so we know how many tables to reserve. I believe we will be reserving the entire pizzeria based on the big turnout of over 60 at our Medellín Living Meetup last month in Envigado. We filled the restaurant last month and Pizza en Leña can accommodate even more people.

How to get there? Pizza en Leña is located right next to popular Parque Sabeneta. The pizzeria is found in a food passageway to the right of the church at the park. Just about every taxi driver in Medellín knows where Parque Sabaneta is located. Parque Sabaneta is also located a 10-minute walk east from the Sabaneta metro station.
