Joel Duncan was born in Guyana South America but moved to Canada as a child. He has lived in 5 countries, including Colombia where he now lives.
4 Years ago he made the decision leave his job in Marketing with Canada’s largest telecommunications company to fulfill a life long dream of traveling for one year.
He left on what was supposed to be a 1-year trip across Central and South America. However, after visiting 9 countries, he arrived in Colombia and discovered Medellin, the city that he would fall deeply in love with.
Today Joel works as an interior photographer, photographing some of Medellin’s top properties. He also runs Red Door Studios; a small marketing company that helps hotels and restaurants get more business online.
He will talk about how he made the transition from working a stressful 9-5 to following his passion and completely reinventing his life. He will share stories, advice and photos from his adventures. He will also show you Colombia as he sees it through his Camera.
