The Lambada by Kaoma is the anthem for the style of dance that goes by the same name.
Lambada originated in northern Brazil, and at one point swept throughout the country, however it has since decreased in popularity.
Every now and then, at a club in Medellin, or Barranquilla, I’ll hear the song played, and a few people will know how to dance the lambada.
Along with samba, it’s on my dancing to-do list for when I get to Brazil.
