Medellin Events: February

Don’t miss at least one night of live music.

In addition to sending out these updates on the 1st of every month, we’ve also created an Events Calendar. Know of a cool event going on that’s not already listed? Add it yourself by filling out this form. It’s completely free! Dave will be moderating new submissions to make sure they’re legit.

Things are starting to pick up again.

I even had a party at my house, for the Super Bowl. More than 20 people came. Six countries were represented.

But because my house is not open to everyone, I’m gonna tell you where you can go this month to have a good time.

Te disfrutes!

From what I’ve read, he’s very talented, and I’m intrigued.

Holidays

Sorry, none this month. It is one of only two — September is the other — that does not have a holiday.

Medellin Living Meetup

This is looking like it will be the best-attended Medellin Living event ever, so don’t miss it.

“Una Noche Cubana” starts at 8 p.m. on Feb. 8 at La Bodeguita Havanera, where everyone will receive a 15 percent discount on all their food. Because it’s a Saturday, there will be live music.

The live music theme will carry over to Son Havana, where a salsa band will be playing and we will be dancing.

RSVP through Facebook.

Sports

Check the websites of the four local football teams — Medellin, Envigado, Itagui and defending champion Nacional — to find out their schedules.

If you’re looking for laughs, check these guys out.

Theater

Enhumorados La Gorda Fabiola y Polilla

If you’re looking for a laugh, this duo can provide it, assuming you speak Spanish.

Secretos Masculinos

I guess February is for comedic duos because here’s another event to entertain you.
