Throughout the States, one of the most popular forms of exercise is Yoga; Power Yoga, Bikram Yoga, Flow Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga. Medellín, however, brings yoga back to its roots: Hatha Yoga.
And, they bring it to the public in the most amazing places, with many of these classes being donation-based.
Instruction is provided in Spanish, however even if you’re still learning the language, you can simply observe the movements as others do them, and then try to emulate.
Good instructors will watch their students, and correct any incorrect forms.
Of course, I am a little bias since I am a Sivananda yoga teacher, which is Hatha Yoga.

Hey Jessica,
I enjoyed your article on yoga in Medellin.
We are a hostel close to San Jerónimo with a great capacity to give yoga classes and as we´ll have a yoga teacher here in March, we´d like to organize a yoga workshop.
I just randomly found you googleing and thought it might be a good idea to get in touch with you!
Are you a yoga teacher in Medellin?
Pls leave a note here if you´re interested and I´ll send you my e-mail adress.
Have a great evening,
