I recently became aware of a great opportunity to win an all expenses paid trip to Colombia!
6 bloggers have been chosen to represent 6 different countries – the USA, Spain, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and Brazil.
They will be heading to Colombia later this month on an all expenses paid trip to tour 4 of the country’s best regions: Bogota, the Coffee Triangle, Santa Marta, and Cartagena. The whole experience will be filmed by National Geographic for a TV show to premiere in December.
In addition to the bloggers who will be working on the trip, one individual from each of the same 6 countries will also be chosen to join the adventure!
Right now, I’ve only seen the details posted by the Spanish bloggers. Once I see the instructions in English, I will share a link, but because the deadline is so soon (September 21), I wanted to get the word out immediately! Here are the contest instructions in Spanish, as posted on Colombia’s official tourism portal:
Participar en “La experiencia de tu vida” es muy fácil:
1 – Graba un video creativo donde nos cuentes:
- ¿Quién eres?
- ¿Qué es para ti “La experiencia de tu vida”?
- ¿Qué te motiva a viajar a Colombia?
- ¿Por qué deberíamos escogerte?
2 – Monta el video en Youtube.
3 – Regístrate llenado el formulario que aparece en este sitio Web. En el último paso del formulario debes incluir el link de You Tube donde quedó montado tu video.
4 – Te puedes registrar hasta el día 21 de septiembre de 2009 a las 12:00 p.m. hora colombiana (tiempo universal coordinado -05:00).
5 – Proexport Colombia seleccionará un ganador para el viaje a Colombia por cada uno de los países (Ecuador, Venezuela, Perú, Brasil, Estados Unidos y España), teniendo en cuenta el video y todos los datos incluidos en el formulario.
6 – Los ganadores serán publicados en www.colombia.travel el día 24 de septiembre de 2009. Igualmente, los ganadores serán contactados a través de correo electrónico.
In short, you’ll need to record a video stating who you are and what motivates you to want to travel to Colombia. Upload it to YouTube, and fill out the registration form by September 21. The winners will be announced on September 24 and contacted electronically.

Not really, though you can try searching YouTube! For example, search "proexport" which was the company sponsoring the contest/trip. By the way, everyone has already visited the country and returned home by this point.
