At my first salsa lesson this year, my teacher put on a track that sounded like reggaeton.
“Is this salsa?” I asked.
“It’s salsaton,” she replied.
Apparently the mix of salsa and reggaeton is big in Cuba, and this track exemplifies it, though the one I heard in my class was much heavier on the reggaeton, where this one comes across more like salsa.
