Pole Dancing with the Ladies of Medellin

Pole dancing is one of the hottest physical exercises around.  And, there is no better place to see it, experience it or dream about it than in the land of some of the hottest ladies.  Even as a woman, I know that Colombian women are some of the most beautiful women in the world.  And, pole dancing with them has been quite a treat.

Pole dancing not only allows a woman to get an amazing workout from arms and abs to glutes and calves, but it helps guide a woman towards her inner animal, sexy animal that is.

Between the hair flipping and full body rolls, learning how to balance on the pole, climb the pole and spin around the pole, the experience proves to be quite challenging and exciting.

I checked out a few places for pole dancing before I landed at Pin-Up Girls.  While it was a real pain in the glutes to take my first class, it was well worth it in the end.

But the school didn’t allow me to take a sample class so I didn’t know if I would like it.  I had to buy a series of classes to get a better price, and I had to do this by going to the bank and depositing money to the school. FYI – bank lines are unforgiving at any time of day in Colombia.

Next, I had to take a beginner class on a Saturday so they could see my level, and teach me the basic positions of pole dancing which would be the foundation steps for the rest of the movements.  Then they called me and gave me a set time every week to take class.

Classes are offered Monday through Saturday from 6 AM to 8:30 PM.

Despite the hassles, it was well worth it.  The building itself is adorable, while a little inconveniently placed.  It has pink and white striped walls with cute photos hanging all over.

And, they have a little shop on the bottom where they sell the most adorable panties and other booty clothes for taking class in.  Then, you head upstairs to a huge room with a wall lined with mirrors, and about 12 poles.  This is where the magic happens.

While I haven’t seen any men taking class, there is no rule saying men can’t join in the fun.  Think about it…

Monthly Classes

• 1 class a week is 85,000 COP ($47 USD)
