The new Medellin Bar Crawl menu.
He created it out of boredom, I think, or maybe it was because he wanted to make a little money while he waited to hear about an English-teaching job.
Thus the Medellin Bar Crawl was born.
Quinn, my former roommate who came up with the idea, has since moved on, to Saudi Arabia for a teaching job. He left in late December, right around the holidays, and the Bar Crawl went on hiatus, has been until now.
Quinn’s friend Maria revives it next week.
She’s going to hit up the same places he did — Alta Gracia, Dali, Eco Bar, Octava and the Shamrock — every Wednesday night, starting at 8 p.m.
Each bar offers some kind of special, whether it’s a discount, a free shot, or both, and it’s a chance to get to know a handful of great places to hang out in the city, Bar Crawl or no.
It’s also a great place for foreigners to get to know each other, especially extranjeros who are staying at different hostels, and there are more than 20 in the city.
So go have some fun!
