The Medellín Living May meetup event will take place on Thursday, May 11, at 7pm at Del Patio Restaurant and Bar in Laureles.

Whether you’ve just arrived in Medellín or have been here for years, you’re welcome to come to the Medellín Living meetups. It’s a great opportunity to get advice, swap travel stories, and meet like-minded people who share an interest in the city of eternal spring.

Our May meetup will be held at the popular Del Patio restaurant and bar, which features a lush, tropical feel. It’s located in a converted house just off the popular Setenta (Carrera 70) nightlife area in Laureles. It’s a great place to relax, have a drink, and enjoy some classic rock and pop music.

This Medellín Living May meetup isn’t a sponsored event, so attendees must pay for their own food and drinks. The above photo is courtesy of Del Patio.

Date: Thursday, May 11, 2017, 7:00pm to 11:00pm

Del Patio is located at Circular 2 #70-39, just off Carrera 70, near the UPB university. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the Estadio metro station.

Please RSVP for the Medellín Living May Meetup

This meetup is a great way to network and meet others with common interests and hobbies. It also gives long-time Medellín residents a chance to share their knowledge and help out those who are new to the city.

You’ll also have a chance to meet some of the Medellín Living writers, including Jeff and Alan. Maybe you can suggest an idea for a story you would like to see them write for Medellín Living. Don’t forget to invite your friends and like and share the event on Facebook!

If you plan to attend, please RSVP so we know how many tables to reserve at Del Patio! You can RSVP on Facebook here, or below in the comments if you are not on Facebook.

Our Medellín Living Meetups

In response to popular demand, Medellín Living restarted its meetups in January of 2017 after a two-year hiatus. The new meetups have been a huge success, growing steadily from one month to the next. We had over 80 attendees at the April meetup in El Poblado at Delaire Sky Lounge.  And we are expecting another big turnout this month in Laureles.

Our plan is to rotate our meetups each month between El Pobaldo, Envigado, Sabaneta and Laureles, which are the four most popular neighborhoods for expats living in Medellín.

The idea is to encourage expats to experience different parts of the city. Our June meetup is tentatively planned for Envigado and for July we are planning in Sabaneta. Details will be posted on this site around around three weeks before the planned meetups.

Note: there isn’t any extra fee required to attend Medellín Living meetups and no membership is required.

We now have two new ways for our readers to keep up with Medellín Living events. You can follow us on our new Medellin Living Events & Activities Facebook group or via our new Medellin Living group on Meetup.com.
