Columbus Day
October 14
I’m pretty sure everyone knows what this day is about. Or at least I hope so. If you don’t, put down the beer and pick up a book. The holiday falls on a Monday, so expect a lot of paisas to leave town for their fincas.
October 26
Ok, so this isn’t a holiday, and this event isn’t even taking place on the actual day of Halloween, but it’ll be hard to tell the difference when everyone is dressing up and partying. So put on your costumes and head to Palmahia where the party usually lasts until the morning hours. It’s 30,000 pesos to get in the door.
October 31
Yes, there are Halloween parties on the actual day of Halloween. You should check out the one at Mahalo Action Sports Cafe. There’s a 15 percent discount on most food and drinks if you’re wearing a costume and no cover to get in.
Check the local nightclubs’ Facebook pages as the date approaches. There should be events all week, and into the weekend.
