Song: Atrevete Te Te
Artist: Calle 13
Genre: Reggaeton
Nationality: Puerto Rican
Notes: Atrevete Te Te by Calle 13 wasn’t the first reggaeton song I ever heard (that was Daddy Yankee’s Gasolina in Costa Rica, cerca 2005), however it was a close second. I remember seeing the video on MTV when it first came out.
Little did I know at the time, it’s based on a Colombia cumbia beat (at least according to Wikipedia). Needless to say, Calle 13 is quite popular in Colombia.
