360 Bistró: A Gastronomic Journey in San Fernando Plaza

The entrance to 360 Bistró

Inspired by a Parisian bistro, 360 Bistró is a touch of open air sophistication in Medellín.

From the moment you arrive, you are taken on a journey around the world through Italy, France, the Mediterranean and as far as Peru with the best of gastronomic cultures and exquisite wines to match.

The 360 Bistró is situated in San Fernando Plaza, along with other restaurants and a food court, and a journey up the escalator will find you walking into one of Medellín’s finest.

Inside the contemporary 360 Bistró

With a contemporary design and giant lamps which hang above the comfy booths, this bistro has plenty of open air and bamboo blinds which provide protection from the sun.

There are different dining areas to choose from whether you come on your own or with a party of friends.

There’s an elegant fine dining room at the back, a lively lounge with enough space for you and eleven of your friends, plus the main salon, or you can just dine on the terrace.

There’s a wide choice of gastronomic delights to choose from including a raw bar with ceviche Peruano and steak tartare for 20,000 pesos ($9.50).

I chose the mushroom soup for starters, which came in a creamy yellow sauce with portobello mushrooms. It was the nicest soup I’ve ever tasted.

You also get freshly cut chips (or fries) with a delicious dip once they’ve taken your order, to keep you going before your food arrives.

Other starters include langostinos with avocado, croquettes with guacamole and tartare sauce, or the unusual combination of brie with chutney and uchuvas from 21,900 pesos ($10).

There are salads on the menu too, from garlic tuna at 19,900 pesos ($9.50) to a cobb salad with blue cheese, bacon, avocado and chicken. Even a standard chicken sandwich here is fancy.

Then there’s the carne with a French flavor.

A 400-gram Chateaubriand with a green salad and papas a la francesa will set you back 59,900 pesos ($28). But if 400 grams is too much, the steaks also come in 220 grams too, along with a béarnaise sauce or other classics for 34,900 pesos ($16).

Plus, there’s mouth-watering deserts such as the volcán de chocolate, Nutella pie and the scrumptious creme brûlée from 9,900 pesos ($4.50).

It’s not just the food that’s good here either as there’s an array of red, rosé and white wines to enrich your experience and compliment the flavors and delicacies of the cuisine.

A bottle of the Chilean house wine will cost 79,000 pesos ($37) for a Cabernet Sauvignon or a Merlot. The more lavish Montes Cherub Premium is 91,000 pesos ($42).

If you decide to visit 360 Bistró more than once, there’s a menu of the day to help make your choice easier. We visited on a Wednesday which was grilled tuna with vegetables and a purée for just 19,900 ($9) and the tuna was so tender, it melted in your mouth.

Whatever you choose on the menu at 360 Bistró, you can be guaranteed it’s an unforgettable dining experience.
