One of my goals in Medellin is to get some base jumping in. Basically there isn’t any base here yet. It’s going to be hard to get it started, but I can’t last too long without a jump.
The things necessary for a base jump are pretty straight forward. You need gear that is specific for base jumping, an object that has a face of 200 feet or more that is near vertical or overhung, access to the top of the object, a clear landing area, and the knowledge and experience to put it all together. Right now I’ve got everything except the right object.
Access is key, and I’m not quite ready to be in a Colombian jail quite yet. I’m still just scoping things out, which can be a bit hard. There are a ton of buildings here that are potentially jump-able, including some that are currently under construction. To legally jump a finished building, I would need access to the roof, or a high enough window, from the owner or a renter. I’ve been told I could most likely bribe security guards at a construction site.
I’m actually not quite sure how I’m going to scope out these buildings anyway. I would usually park my car close by and sit and watch while taking a few walks around the block. I’m not so sure that’s the safest thing to do here at night…plus, no car.
The problem with finding a cliff is just getting to it. Once again, at home I would normally just take my car. Plus, here I don’t know the geography well enough to make potential missions worthwhile to anyone that might consider going with me just to look at things.
An antenna around here has both the issues as the cliffs and buildings. Hard to get to and guarded. I’m not even sure there’s a bridge anywhere close enough that’s even got a chance of being jumped.
I’m thinking I’l have to rent or borrow a car or motorcycle here soon to get a good look at things. Unless… Anyone wants to volunteer their vehicle and time?

yeah well, and yes you can bribe construcuion wokrers / security guards very easy
the teleantioquia building has potencial , you should check it out
