Medellín Living July Meetup at Sport Wings San Lucas

The Medellín Living July meetup event will take place on Thursday, July 13, at 7pm at Sport Wings in San Lucas Plaza.

Whether you’ve just arrived in Medellín or have been here for years, you’re welcome to come to the Medellín Living meetups. It’s a great opportunity to get advice, swap travel stories, and meet like-minded people who share an interest in the city of eternal spring.

After the success of last month’s meetup, we’re giving another Sport Wings location a try! This month’s meetup will be at the popular Sport Wings restaurant and bar in San Lucas Plaza, which features some of the best wings in Medellín. It’s a great place to relax, have a drink, eat some great wings and enjoy sports playing on the big-screen TVs.

Sport Wings is a chain of six sports bars in Medellín. Since this one is located in a shopping center, you can come early and check out some of the distinctive shops, such as the Mikaela pastry shop and a number of fashion and accessory stores.

Our Medellín Living July meetup isn’t a sponsored event, so attendees must pay for their own food and drinks.

Date: Thursday, July 13, 7:00pm to 11pm

Sport Wings is located in the San Lucas Plaza shopping center at Calle 20 Sur #27-55, Medellin (Note: make sure to type “Medellin” into Google Maps and NOT “Envigado,” in order to get the correct location). The restaurant is just inside the pedestrian entrance facing Calle 20 Sur, next to the Pasteur pharmacy. It’s about a 3.5 to 4km taxi ride from metro Ayurá. Make sure to tell the taxi driver that the Sport Wings is located in the San Lucas Plaza, which is a good point of reference.

Please RSVP for the Medellín Living July Meetup

This meetup is a great way to network and meet others with common interests and hobbies. It also gives long-time Medellín residents a chance to share their knowledge and help out those who are new to the city. Please try to welcome the newcomers and introduce them to your friends!

You’ll also have a chance to meet some of the Medellín Living writers. Maybe you can suggest an idea for a story you would like to see them write for Medellín Living. Also, don’t forget to invite your friends and like and share the event on Facebook!

If you plan to attend, please RSVP so we know how many tables to reserve at Sport Wings. You can RSVP on Facebook here, or below in the comments if you are not on Facebook.  Or you can RSVP via our Medellin Living group on Meetup.com

Our Medellín Living Meetups

In response to popular demand, Medellín Living restarted its meetups in January of 2017 after a two-year hiatus.  The new Medellin Living meetups have been a huge success, growing steadily from one month to the next. We’ve been averaging 80-100 attendees at the last few meetups.

Our plan is to rotate the meetups each month between Poblado, Envigado, Sabaneta and Laureles, which are the four most popular neighborhoods for expats living in Medellín. The meetups currently take place on the second Thursday of each month.

The idea is to encourage expats to experience different parts of the city. Our August meetup is planned for Poblado, and in September we’ll be returning to Laureles. Details will be posted on this site one to two weeks before each meetup.

Note: there isn’t any extra fee required to attend Medellín Living meetups, and no membership is required.

We have two additional ways for our readers to keep up with Medellín Living events. You can follow us on our Medellin Living Events & Activities Facebook group or via our Medellin Living group on Meetup.com.
